Paid a phoeni…
Ej, @aran, Aran … you’re running out of the days …
No worries though … We won’t run anywhere (at least I won’t) so take your time …
So the next chat was about rugby. OK, I get the hang of it now. If there was ever a conversation about the natural world in Wales, I would really, really hate it - honestly…
Aha, we have someone who has clearly done the whole parent reverse psychology thing - and she will have her reward…
After a very busy summer I have only just seen this thread! I’ve just signed up - I’m delighted to be able to contribute.
Thank you so much, Sandra - your support means the world to us
And new content posted just now - especially for Bronwen…
Hyfryd! I could even guess some of what you were saying this time, because I love birds too. I went straight to a list of Welsh birds to see which other birds I could identify as well as ‘bwncath’ - and found to my delight that in Welsh one of my favourite birds is called Bronwen-y-dwr.
I had been tiptoeing away from Welsh because of a feeling that I wasn’t getting anywhere. But I’m back now - diolch yn fawr!
Fantastic!
Shwmae @aran ,
I was a bit slow downloading the first 2 growth club segments, and now I find they are no longer there, just #003. (At least, I can only see #003).
Have I missed them now? I’d assumed they’d remain there until we were ready to download them, like the lessons/challenges.
Diolch,
Mike
Yes, there’s only that one. @aran may I (possibly) suggest the content would be on to download for at least a month of two (if not forever)?
Diolch.
Or if it’s only going to be available for a limited period, would be good to announce that time limit at the time it goes up.
What about people who are on holiday, or under the weather when it goes up? Would be nice for it to be there waiting when they are ready for it.
Diolch o flaen llaw.
I have had the same experience. I wish the possibility to download would remain,if possible
Justin
Same problem here.
I was on holiday, when the first dialogue came out, when I came home, only number two was available.
It’s easy enough to do - but it’s going to turn into a beast of a page to manage if we leave many up there - particularly in terms of the transcripts for the £20ers…
How many do you think we should leave up at a time?
Let’s say 5?
Or do automated system with which there would be each content on for about month or two then the first one automatically goes off. This would lead to constant number of discussions to be on and numbers would not increase, if this doesn’t involve too much of coding and managing of course but since the system should be somehow automated, when running there shouldn’t be a problem it “takes” discussions and transcripts “off” and puts new “on”. But our codemaster @Kinetic would probably know more about if this is possible to do or not with not so much stress and too hard work involved.
Well this is my suggestion which, of course, isn’t that of an expert - more like brainstorming but if you like it, you can use it as your own.
Pob lwc.
Is a dozen (12) manageable??
Perhaps you could make the transcripts PDFs? That would cut down on the clutter on the page.
Hi Aran. Just went to join the Growth Club - was assuming I’d set up a direct debit (like my Welsh subscription), but found the only option was credit or debit card. Is this correct? I’ve never had any regular payment coming via CC or DC - how does this work?
With Karla’s good idea about pdfs for the transcripts, I suppose so - but do we have Growth Club members who are only going to check/download once every three months or so?
Hi Alun - and thank you very much for your support! If you’re on a direct debit for membership, you’re one of our longest standing subscribers (for which many thanks!) - we haven’t offered that for a while, because of the extra admin complications it creates. All subscribers since we switched systems (er, 2 or 3 years ago?) are on card payments. In terms of how it works - er, I’m not sure how much detail you want?! Once the payment is set up, we take it once a month, and you can cancel any time - is that what you wanted to know?
