Hi, I know Covid has put paid to meet ups this year but thought I’d post in this thread in case things kick off again. I’m in Swanmore which is between Southampton and Portsmouth and not far from Winchester either. Cheers, Max

Shwmae Chris, Well done on finding this older thread. Would be very happy to meet up in either Ryde or Newport (I’m in south-west Wight). The Bargeman’s would be a good meeting-place in Newport, or I’ll leave you to suggest somewhere in Ryde. Late morning or early afternoon would suit me best. Direct message me if that’s easier.
(If my memory serves me correctly, Natalie moved from the Island to North Wales a few years ago.)

@chris-gale just a tip - if you put the @ symbol before someone’s name, it gives you suggestions and you can select the person. That means they get notified that you’ve written something to them - like this @anne-allen @AlanP

Hi @chris-gale, Yes we could certainly meet up at the Bargeman’s. I suggest a good time would be c.11am for a coffee, with the option of a bit of lunch if we chose. I won’t be available for the next week (including replying to messages), but should be free from around the 15th July.
I looked in Crepe Lovers yesterday – very nice but I would say a bit confined space-wise? By contrast, there should be plenty of room at the Bargeman’s for us to find a corner to try out our Cymraeg.
So far, @sally-hall-1 and myself have managed one single Zoom chat. Perhaps Sally and @anne-allen would like to join us at the Bargeman’s?

Hi Alan. I’m so sorry, life has got in the way! I’ve been going back & forward to the mainland to support family that have had a baby. It had to be a c section so I’ve been away more than I thought. I’m back there on 24th of this month for a few days, then will have more time. In the meantime we’ve had friends staying that have gone home today.
The Bargeman’s sounds perfect so if I’m available I’ll definitely join you all there

I live in Bembridge but would be happy to come to The Bargeman’s at some point. Hitting the busy holiday season & we go away shortly, home on Sunday 20th July then a bit of a breather before family start arriving till the end of August. Hi Ian - good to hear from you! I’m away at the moment (typing this in Cardiff) but there may be a one-off meeting at the Bargeman’s shortly for the four or five of use who are interested. Will keep you posted, Chris
