I absolutely adore Wales. Even though I’m not Welsh it’s in my bones. I spent every summer holiday there my whole life & in the 70’s my parents bought my beloved Brynrhedyn in Tresaith, which we still have & cherish to this day. I lived near Fishguard for 11 years 80’s/90’s & attended classroom Welsh lessons, I didn’t do brilliantly but then I was never good at school.
A couple of months ago I suddenly became more determined than ever to learn to speak Welsh, some Welsh friends in Barry want to learn so they can help their future children & they inspired me too. I heard of SSIW once when watching an interview with Ruth Jones, so I searched & found the website. Here I am now & enjoying the process, I really love the little encouraging pep talks & videos from Aran. I’m so looking forward to being fluent in the most beautiful language I’ve ever heard.
