Wanted: Beta readers for my book!

I have been working on a non-fiction book about garden birds suitable for intermediate learners. The aim is for readers to build their vocabulary, so there’s a fair amount of repetition and the focus is on learning new words rather than new grammar.

Each chapter is about 200 words of relatively simple Welsh, an annotated image of the bird in question, plus a vocabulary list.

I’ve roughed out a few different layouts for the content and the vocabulary, and I would love to get feedback about what works best. There’s only four chapters in this sample, each with a different layout/order.

My Welsh isn’t good enough yet to be a proofreader, but when the book is published I’d be very interested in buying it. I do love birds, and the notes on regional variations sound really interesting.

Thanks! You don’t have to proof-read it, just take a look and let me know what you think of the layout, and the placement of the vocabulary list.

I read quite a few books for learners as it took me a long time to get used to written Welsh that I found very unfriendly. :smiley:
