It looks like we have a few SSiWers who are interested in birds, judging by the response to @suw 's post below.

Wanted: Beta readers for my book!

I have been working on a non-fiction book about garden birds suitable for intermediate learners. The aim is for readers to build their vocabulary, so there’s a fair amount of repetition and the focus is on learning new words rather than new grammar. Each chapter is about 200 words of relatively simple Welsh, an annotated image of the bird in question, plus a vocabulary list. I’ve roughed out a few different layouts for the content and the vocabulary, and I would love to get feedback about what…

You might also be interested to know that the RSPB Garden Birdwatch 2025 is now open for registration. Why am I posting this here? Well, the RSPB has produced a bilingual version of their Garden Birdwatch Guide, which means that you can learn some bird-related Welsh while you’re counting birds and waiting for Suw’s book to come out.
