PPS Don’t forget it’s the Royal Welsh Show this week - a great opportunity to practise a bit of Welsh, especially if you might be planning to visit the National Eisteddfod in a fortnight’s time

Helo bawb - it’s the last week already of the school holidays here in Oxford and the weather’s starting to feel a bit autumnal. The end of the summer holidays does though offer a good opportunity to look afresh at our regular meetup schedule and it may be that different times or days might allow more people to join in the meetups. Do get in touch via this thread or PM me if the current schedule means you haven’t been able to join us regularly or at all - it may be that we can adjust things to allow more people to join in while still suiting current ‘regulars’ :slightly_smiling_face:

Meanwhile for this week the pattern of meetups is staying the same:

  • 12:00 Tuesday 29th August / dydd Mawrth 29ain mis Awst ( via image - do get in touch for login details if you’d like to join in )
  • 12:00 Friday 1st September / dydd Gwener 1af mis Medi ( ‘Space for Reading’, Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford - inside entrance hall to the right, next to windows & opp. side from the excellent cafe)

Let me know if you have any questions - and, as always, newcomers welcome! :slightly_smiling_face:

Helo bawb - here in Oxford just as the school holidays finish, and rather cruelly for plantos and those among us returning to work, an indian summer / haf bach Mihangel is starting :sun_behind_small_cloud: No changes though for our meetups this week:

  • 12:00 Tuesday 5th September / dydd Mawrth 5ed mis Medi ( via image - do get in touch for login details if you’d like to join in )
  • 12:00 Friday 8th September / dydd Gwener 8fed mis Medi ( ‘Space for Reading’, Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford - inside entrance hall to the right, next to windows & opp. side from the excellent cafe)

Don’t forget, though… :slightly_smiling_face:

How nice to see New College Oxford has produced a Welsh version of their prospectus :wales: :slightly_smiling_face: https://www.new.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/files/2023-03/NEW%20COLLEGE%20-%20WELSH%20V3.pdf
and also a video in Welsh introducing the college to prospective students from Wales: https://www.new.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/files/2023-03/NEW%20COLLEGE%20-%20WELSH%20V3.pdf
(part of an initiative by New, Jesus & St Catherine’s Colleges hoping to increase the proportion of students from Wales)

Helo bawb - just to confirm that we’ll be sticking with our current meetup schedule for the rest of the month, at least (not too late, though, to suggest changes for the weeks after that :slightly_smiling_face: ), so for this week:

  • 12:00 Tuesday 12th September / dydd Mawrth 12eg mis Medi ( via image - do get in touch for login details if you’d like to join in )
  • 12:00 Friday 15th September / dydd Gwener 15fed mis Medi ( ‘Space for Reading’, Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford - inside entrance hall to the right, next to windows & opp. side from the excellent cafe)

… and same days and times for the rest of September
