Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2023 - Llŷn ac Eifionydd

I should be able to jump on the bandwagon and be there too as I will be in Caernarfon Wednesday night.

Ffab. I’m assuming that they’ll be able to fit 4-5 in without advance booking midweek but we’ll wing it if not!

Enjoy your dinner, but unfortunately I won’t be able to make it, as I have a ticket for the Cabaret show at night.

But while I’m here, I’d like to take the opportunity to remind you of my gig tomorrow (as @CatrinLliarJones asked me to)… so if you happen to be on the Maes tomorrow at 3pm and would like to see me perform, then please come to the stall “Cymunedoli” (stall number 401-405, see the screenshot). I’ll be grateful for any support!

(And afterwards at 3:30pm we can all walk five steps over to Tŷ Gwerin to see Pedair there  )

Maes D seems very big and busy this year. It’s delightful. And the sofas are good!

I really enjoyed the meeting in S4C this morning. Thank you Aran, Sara, Kiri and Aleighcia. You were all great.

Thank you so much for coming, Maggy - what a lovely, supportive audience!

I also loved the panel - the clips from the show and participants’ reactions to them; the thoughtful reflections on the process and on representing non-first-language Welsh journeys on telly more generally; how movingly both Aleighcia and Kiri talked about their continuing and developing relationship with the language, and the importance of their relationships with Welsh-speaking friends in that development; Aran’s useful context and passionate perspectives; Sara’s clear and thoughtful chairing; and the warm and welcoming space made by the audience for Welsh learners communicating using as much Welsh as they could and drawing on English to fill gaps in a very ordinary way …

Definitely one of my highlights of this year’s Steddfod  - thanks to all involved!

Who has post-Eisteddfod syndrome, then?

First work Teams call this morning: I couldn’t think of the English word for something really simple.

I definitely couldn’t English on the train home!

And lots of half rememebered songs pretty relentless in my head!
