What's outside

I seem to have a ‘blonde’ deryn y to in the garden lately - it’s much paler than all the usual ‘brunettes’!
I’ve never seen another one this colour before - how common is it, I wonder? Any ideas @Cetra?

I’ve also had this handsome young dudwy visit a couple of times

I came across a couple of those in my garden in Llandysul a couple of years ago - fascinating things! Wish I’d seen the moths though!

Not outside but probably should be…

Sioncyn y gwair?
Ceiliog y Rhedyn

I think it’s actually a cricket not a grasshopper but they have cuter names

Criciedyn or cricsyn which the dictionaries give me is less endearing

We moved to Pembrokeshire three weeks ago and two or three nights after arriving we noticed the moon appearing through the hedge/field boundary. It was an emotional moment which this snap doesn’t do justice to.

I noticed about six butterflies flying fairly randomly in the garden so grabbed a camera and tried to get a picture of at least one of them. I stood by a shrub which they seemed to be attracted to and finally got a picture of this Red Admiral - iar fach goch.

Unfortunately I didn’t have my mobile phone so was unable to take a selfie of the two which, much to the amusement of my wife, settled on my head.

And your wife couldn’t quickly grab the camera and capture the moment for posterity?:joy:
