Welsh - a new design

Sorry, can’t find Print Screen!! Will have a word with Janet!
To @aran I only get Learn on the Forum page! On the Course page I get three white lines above the red and blue squares on the left hand side. Click on lines and get list of options! My profile pic never gets shown except when looking up Profile!!

Ah, right, yup - that’s a little anomaly we’ll tidy up one of these days… :sunny:

Sounds as though everything is working fine for you - the ‘three lines’ menu is just something to do with how your browser is processing the site structure - there’s nowhere outside of the forum that your profile pic should be showing right now - so I think it’s all good… :sunny:

@tatjana - not sure what’s happening with Brigitte - but yes, the Spanish is all new design now, and it won’t be too much longer before we start moving over everywhere - just got to get a few more SSiBorg things done first… :sunny:

You surely have it but with laptops it’s a bit tricky sometimes as functional keys (like F1, F2, Pt-Sc etc) have to be switched on with special key or combination of keys so I believe you you can’t find it.

You get something like this on “Learn” page, yes?

.

Well, as @aran say, this is how your browser deals with layout of the page but it also can be caused with something else: it depends on how big screen you have and how much you’ve magnified the page. 100 % will always show you somehow “normal” layout however if you magnify the page and if you have little screen (which laptops have) at the same time it surely is displayed like you get displayed it. I have a wide screen and this for I had to manify the page up to 200 % to get the look like you have, for example.

So, fullscreen is helping a bit but not much since laptop screens can be too little for one “normal” display even if the page is not magnified in the browser.

Now I hope this helps understand why your “learn” page appears a bit different. But don’t worry, it has the same functionalities as those the others have. Imagine you’re on a mobile … and you practically are as laptop is kind of mobile device, and you’ll get along with this just fine.

Diolch yn fawr, for this and all else you do and have done!!

You’re welcome …

Eh … I haven’t done much, just sharing the knowledge and info, that’s all. If someone finds some value in this then I’m happy.

Not only this someone, but practically everyone on the Forum at some time or other must have found your help invaluable!! :grinning:

I like the neatness of the new design, but this appears a little jumbled to me - and Español needs a capital letter to match the others or it looks odd

@dee Would someone who knows no Welsh, living in, say, Slovenia or Belarus or Bulgaria or New Zealand recoognise Gymraeg as meaning Cymraeg, i,e, Welsh???
Question for @aran
edit: Oh, I see, it’s saying I can learn one other language through the medium of Cymraeg. I would think that could go up pretty fast as @seren and @tatjana could help!! However, I still think it is confusing for people!

It’s all OK to me except for that Espaňol really. (Sorry, my computer wouldn’t let me do ~ under “n” letter so I used “strešica”.

Thank you. Happy if this is so …

Yup, the front page isn’t done yet, which is part of why we haven’t moved over lock, stock and barrel… :sunny:
