Oh diolch yn fawr iawn! How\where did I miss this bit?
This the Holy Grail, the "mother"of all conversational language fluency breakthroughs. I have not seen anything like this capability anywhere else (via conversational dialogues that is). Typically the market seems to offer about 1,000 or usually fewer words after completing courses of three levels.
The incentive is there, of course, as we are assured that Sainthood does normally follow Beatification - with at least a 12 month gap - time enough perhaps to crack the 4k project.

Although Iām as excited about and looking forward to the ā4k projectā as much as anyone, Iād suggest (and remind myself) that there is of course no need to wait for it before hoovering up as many new words as possible, from wherever. And SSiW makes it relatively easy to start using them right away as soon as we come across them, because we already have most if not all of the structures we need to fit them into. You/we might be surprised how many words you/we have picked up along the way, in addition to those taught explicitly by SSiW.
I agree - SSi will be the first organisation to take learners to full conversational fluency. Everyone markets the idea of mastering a language. SSi will be the first to truly deliver. I suspect that 2,000 to 2,500 words will do it and even that is about twice the reach of anyone else. But 4,000 twords hatās really ambitious and epic. Great Vision.

Music to my ears, Justin, diolch o galon - because that is exactly what the goal has always beenā¦
Ahem - sorry - I think we missed last week, didnāt we?!
But 11 is now up and waiting for you - and weāll try and get 12 ready for tomorrow to make up for last weekā¦
Yes we did ā¦
Does it mean @CatrinLliarJonesā health is better (and voice particularly)?
Ah, yes, I know ā¦ I hear you saying āGo and listen and youāll hear/know.ā ā¦
OK! Iām running there to download!
Just listened and downloaded. I didnāt understand much but to my delight Iāve established you could go with this talk on and on and on ā¦
YAY!
I love this song! Diolch!
Unfortunately not - actually recorded these a few days agoā¦
Oh, Iām sad to hear this. Hope she gets well soon.
Dal i rhedeg. (a recording Yn cymraeg Mike!!).
Cheers J.P.
And #012 is up and ready for you - sorry, really meant to do that on Friday - but weāll try and squeeze another one in this week to finish catching upā¦
Dw iān hwyr iawn i barti, ond oān i isio helpu chdi
Diolch yn fawr iawn iawn am SSiW (a SSi!) a Blwyddyn Newydd dda!
(Mae dal rhaid i mi gofio Y Treigladau!)
Blwyddyn Newydd dda i ti hefyd.
Okay, a bit of a horrible cheat here, but Iāve just uploaded the Growth Club chat we did before Christmas - which I havenāt finished transcribingā¦!
So with your kindness and tolerance, Iāll transcribe it tomorrow, and also record and transcribe a proper new one tomorrowā¦
Now, I donāt want anyone to faint with surpriseā¦
But the transcript for #13 is up in the Growth Clubā¦
And so is session #14, AND the transcript for session #14!
Yes, itās a day of surprisesā¦
[And I think Iāve learned that it would be better to make Fridays Growth Club day - on Mondays, I tend to have a lot of email from the weekend to deal with, and itās easy to start to let things slip - whereas on Fridays I know it absolutely has to be done (and itās also a day I otherwise try to keep mostly clear for thinking and planning). So maybe I do have a New Yearās resolution after all - absolute consistency with the Growth Club recordings! ]
Sorry this is a late response to this comment, butā¦
Iām on a bit of a vocabulary drive at the moment, so Iām particularly interested in these 4000 words. Is there a list anywhere? I think (I hope) I already have these under my belt and that the ones Iām gathering through reading are now additional. But it would be really good to check against a list, if there is such a thing. I had a bit of a google but couldnāt find anything helpful.
Of course, if thereās a longer list as well that would also be helpful
And if not Iāll just keep plugging on with the current method.
Helo - Unfortunately, Iām not aware of a list. Iāve been very bad at making useful lists myself - my efforts wax and wane. Iām really hopeful that I can get up to at least 2,000 words via SSiW dialogues as the Welsh dialogues are increased with further Levels. If Aran provides us with dialogues that encompass a 4,000 word vocabulary then they should make a sculpture honouring him crafted into the face of Mount Snowdon.
