There’s a campaign to raise enough funding to buy and create a heritage centre of the former home of the Beasley’s, pioneers in the struggle for the language who, over a period of 8 years, refused to pay the rate demands in English which they received from the local council, saying they’d only pay if they received a rate demand in Welsh. As a result, they were taken to court 16 times with bailiffs taking away their furniture for sale to pay the outstanding bills. You can read the story here on Wikipedia
