Penalties of having head of state who simply has to get born to get the job! Of course, from age 0 to ‘old enough’ the monarch has a regent of dubious qualification. Richard 2 of England did better than his elders who had shown what is wrong with a poll tax (not that Maggie learned!). If the monarch starts talking to trees, his son may be ‘regent’ while waiting for the old man to die. Mmm… maybe a lesson there for a chap called Charles!
p.s. I should have mentioned above that when I went out with that rugby player, I never admitted that I was older than him!!!
