Sad to hear of the death of actor Hywel Bennett.

According to the following, he was born into a Welsh-speaking family, but forgot his Welsh when they moved to London:

That article paints a very sad picture of the latter period of his life. :frowning:
I prefer to remember him in his prime. I never saw or heard (he also did some radio plays*) him in anything that I didn’t like.

(* One I heard was “Night Must Fall” by Emlyn Williams. Hywel could do a very good psychopath, as well as funny characters like Shelley.).

I know him as capo of The Firm, Jack Dalton…so sorry to hear that he died :cry:

The unmistakable Philip Madoc, along with Hywel. I believe he was in the pilot episode.
