I met up with a former university colleague today having seen her rarely since I retired more than 10 years ago. I had only ever spoken to her before in English but I told her that I had learned Welsh (acknowledging SSiW’s role) since then. We got on famously and covered a wide range of subjects and gossip till she looked at me curiously when i told her in Welsh that "Maureen (my wife) had had a small operation on the beach!
Today’s challenge is to guess what I meant to say.
