This is the Welsh equivalent of the English exclamation good heavens!
Anyone know to what it refers (aside literally from the heaven of the birds, obviously)?

Just in passing, I heard “er mwyn y nefoedd” on Byw Celwydd, translated as “for heaven’s sake!”.
I guess this is not a particularly unusual saying though.
