The next Llon-dain will be on the 8th October at 2.00pm. The details of the walk are to come but we will be back at Primrose Hill at some point to visit some Welsh history. Hope to see you there (and the weather can’t be worst than last time!). Hwyl, Peter
S’mae Pawb, Llon-dain is on Sunday and we will be meeting outside the Pret on Vere Street which is by Bond Street station (Central, Jubilee, and Elizabeth Lines) at 2.00pm. We will walk up to and through Regents Park to Primrose Hill where there is a memorial to Iolo Morganwg. Depending on time the return journey will be along the Regents canal ending at Kings Cross. Hope to see you there. Hwyl, Peter @Deborah-SSi
S’mae All,
Final reminder that our Llon-dain is on for tomorrow with sunshine all around and Welsh history oozing out of Primrose HIll. See you there.
Hwyl,
Peter
Llon-dain took place in beautiful sunshine with a walk by the Regent’s Park lakes, up Primrose Hill to see the memorial to Iolo Morganwg and a trip along the canal to Kings Cross to have a drink. Thanks to all who came.
S’mae Pawb, the next Llon-dain walk will take place on the 10th December at 2.00pm somewhere in Central London (we haven’t decided exactly where yet but suggestions would be welcome). Put the date in your diaries and await further information. Hwyl, Peter @Deborah-SSi
S’mae Pawb,
Our next Llon-dain walk will take place as planned on Sunday the 10th December at 2.00pm. We are going to start from London Bridge Railway station on the lower floor by the Pret (not the Pret on Borough High Street). The walk will be broadly similar to one we did earlier in the year and we will be ending up in Canary Wharf (about 4 miles away). Any queries let me know but hope to see you there. All levels of Welsh are accommodated. @Deborah-SSi
Hwyl, Peter
Our next Llon-dain walk will take place on Sunday 28th January. We will be returning to South London (our very first walk) with actual route to be decided but likely to be from Honor Oak Park station which is on both the Overground and National Rail lines. Everyone is welcome regardless of where your Welsh language journey has currently taken you. The walk will start at 2.00pm and will be about four miles long ending in a local pub with most of the walk through local parks. Follow this thread for more information closer to the date. If you need any specific information then let me know. @Deborah-SSi @CatrinLliarJones
Sorry to change the plan for the next Llon-dain but we will now be meeting by the O2 on the Greenwich peninsular and walking along the south of the river to Canada Water (about five miles). Exact meeting location to come but it is likely to be by the tube station (Jubilee Line).
Just a reminder of the next Llon-dain walk which will be this Sunday at 2.00pm. We will be meeting at North Greenwich tube station at the top of the escalators in the ticket hall. Details of the walk are above with the majority of the walk along the River Thames. Hope to see you all there. @Deborah-SSi @CatrinLliarJones
I’m hoping to show up to this one Peter.
Brilliant, the weather looks good too. Hopefully see you on Sunday Meic.
Dw i’n edrych ymlaen at ymuno â chi heddiw (os nag oes ots ‘da chi). Walter
The sun shone on our Llon-dain walk on Sunday along the banks of the River Thames. Here are a couple of photographs;-
Thanks again for planning one of these walks. Excellent views of London and very pleasant company. Unwaith eto, diolch.
S’mae Pawb,
The next Llond-dain will take place on the 17th March starting at 2.00pm. We will be travelling back to South London where the first Llon-dain took place but probably starting in Honor Oak (the station is on the overground that goes to Highbury and Islington or up to London Bridge) and doing a circular walk or ending up in Peckham. All levels of Welsh are respected so don’t let being a new learner or a fluent one put you off. We normally walk for about four miles before stumbling across a pub to finish. Hope to see you then. @Deborah-SSi
Hwyl,
Peter
S’mae Pawb, a quick reminder that the next Llon-dain will take place next Sunday (17th March). We will be meeting at 2.00pm outside Honor Oak Park station which is on the Overground (I think the main trains are not running due to engineering works but please check on the day if needed). The Overground links to a number of tube stations in Central London including the Elizabeth Line at Whitechapel. Hope to see you there. @Deborah-SSi
UPDATE!!! There are no trains to Honor Oak Park station next Sunday so the meeting point has been changed to Waterloo station. We will meet under the clock on the concourse at 2.00pm. More details on where we will walk to come later but will be the usual type ie around four miles and ending in a pub for those who wish to have a drink. Sorry for the change. Hwyl, Peter @Deborah-SSi
