Is "i" optional? lessons 21, 22

hi- on lesson 21 - with fy mam i is the “i” optional- only I seem to hear it sometimes but not others? Same with beginning of lesson 22 - it sounds like dy fam (your mother) doesn’t have the i sometimes? Or am I mishearing it? Thanks.

Casually, yes. Grammatically it should be there but in everyday colloquial speech people often drop it.

ah diolch- that’s great- thanks for replying so quickly- I can get on with lesson 22 now! :grinning:
