I knew, from quite early in his Presidency, that Bill admired Dylan Thomas and. as time passed. it became clear that they had a certain amount in common, but I was surprised when I saw his wife getting her Honorary Degree and she turned out to have Welsh roots! I have taken an interest in US Presidents since Watergate when a good friend was driving round London with “Don’t blame me, I’m from Massachusetts” on his car!
Although I don’t think poor old Dylan inhaled anything stronger than the froth on the top of one of his pints. 
times change and so do possible pastimes!
