Cwpan Rygbi'r Byd - 2015 - Rugby World Cup

Yes Japan did well obviously against South Africa but were brought down to earth a bit by Scotland the games thus far have been good no real cricket scores which has to be good for the game. A big game on Sunday our time England and Wales, I’m hoping that Wales can come through although the injuries have caused some issues but I’m still expecting a good hard game.

Well, the injuries didn’t have such (big) impact (yet) as I’ve expected so there’s still hope for us …Priestland has kicked well so far what pleases me (the most) too. So far so good one would say but, yes, here it comes … the big game. I believe Cymru can win.

So do I, but what matters is that the team believe it!!!

Yah, well, here there’s not much to do on our side is there? We can support them and that’s approximately all. They’ll have to go out there and play by themselves.

And my Cymru did it again! i’m especially proud today however I feared almost till the end of the match we might loose. (Yup, I’m saying “we” despite I’m not Welsh. There’s no other team (besides our own - Slovene of course) I could really support when Cymru is involved!)

At the end of the game I literally almost exploded. I cryed, I laughed, I felt for a second as that I went nuts! (yes I was nuts at the last minutes of the game. Made one of my “crazy” vows again) …

It was crazy, it was hard, it was epic, it was heck of a game with more injuries involved, no mercy on either side …

Now we just have to carry on in this style. Not even one team is too small not to go into the game with everything we possibly have. Japan beating SA should be perfect reminder of that I believe!

Llongyfarchiadau Cymru! Dwi’n hapus iawn!

just had to promise English-supprting Grandson that I will not speak a word of Welsh today in order to get him in the shower and using that strange bar of white stuff.

“Alla i ddim credu fy lygaed imi…” I was thinking… and then I realised it actually made sense that the players coming off the bench would think, “I’ll show Warren G and the other coaches that I’m at least as good as their first pick!!” So they came out into a game where we kicked away all possession and played like England of the 70s, and they ran the ball and kicked only for a good tactical reason… to score the try!!! Now we have to play properly and well. We can’t afford to relax. If Fiji beat us by more than 3 points and Australia beat us…we could end up not getting out of the group stages!!!
Yes, I look at the worst that could happen!! That way, I only get good surprises!!

Dewch Cymru!!!

This is exactly what I meant. There’s no rest, there’s no ease no matter how many injuries and who injured. We have to carry on as we started otherwise we can live the day to see unpleasant surprises. All teams came here to win and this is something to bear in mind when going to the field and playing.

I rather won’t tell (yet) what I’ve vowed to the squad yesterday just about 10 minutes before the match was over and won. Search on twitter or FB in order to see. - hehe

To @MickDavies I see what you meant about Quade Cooper!! He really did make a lot of mistakes. I know the Wallabies ended up winning by zillions, but still…!!

He is possibly the most frustrating figure in Australian Rugby. He would be one of the probably 4 most talented match-winners, but the mistakes he is capable of just ruin it.
We should switch him for Jonathan Thurstan…

The team appear to have big belief which enabled them to come back at England great stuff.

This is where Welsh is so much better in expressing the nuances of possibilities… So that would be “pe” rather than “os”, yes?

OK, “were they to…”, but I hardly dare watch yfore as I keep remembering 1991 and Western Samoa!! OK, they won by 3 points, but it does not bode well.
I was there in '91 and it is not my happiest memory!!
 :sob:

Taffy and his apple,
Went to Twicken-Town.
They had a mighty battle,
With England going down.
At the final whistle,
Taff was full of joys.
He wrote a short epistle:
“We surely were the bois!”

That’s the time Max Boyce was there and wrote ‘Hymns and Arias’!! I love that old bottle that once held bitter ale!!! :baby_bottle:

Woopsy! And we (OK Welsh team) did it again! UNBEATEN! This is superb with so many injuries.

I have to mention I had extream rush today. I was still on my way home when match started then just rushed into my house, put everything away I had in my hands, switched on the computer and looked at the possible stream and ualla, I was sitting and watching. What a game it was! I wouldn’t want to miss it. Oh, and … I once not so long ago, promissed I won’t miss any Cymareg game if there’ll be a slight chance I can watch it.

Well done our boys. Now further to nest one with determination I’ve seen it until now.

Yes, we managed (just) to win, but we are noway safe yet!! Australia beating England will help a lot, but if England win, they are sure to squash the amateurs of Uruguay by a lot and get 5 points. That would give them 6+4+5=15. If we lose to Australia, it will all come down to bonus points, or even just points!!! 1991 and 2011 taught me never to look on the bright side in the World Cup!!! :worried:

Agreed, agreed and once more agreed. Even when one leads to 20 points or even more and there’s still a lot time to play this is never won game for me until the last whistle. In rugby you’re never sure enough and I always say that not even one match (no matter how “amateur” oponent) should be taken lightly to be sure of a victory. And, it’s just too often that when Wales starts to do mistakes they do them more and more until the end of the game. Yesterday I at one point feared the same, however they put themselves together somehow and did what they had to do (mostly).

I was really happy yesterday when Georgia, which I find we should call Sakartvelo, scored their wonderful try!! I have a big soft spot for a country with a rare and wonderful language (even a rare and wonderful alphabet!) which has been conquered, free, re-conquered and now, at least semi-free! @aran any chance of SSiSakartvelo-ian!!!
Oh, and it is pretty rare for a member of the losing team to win ‘Man of the Match’ and a standing ovation!!!

Yes, that part was the most wonderful really. And, yes, it is prety rare member of loosing team is named MOM.

I didn’t watch though, was too tired, but watched the recording of those standing ovation. Really something special.
