App jumped ahead to the end of a section

I am about halfway through Orange + , but when I opened the app today it had jumped to the end of the section and was using words that I’d not seen yet. It basically skipped half the belt.
How do I get it to go back to where I was?

@richard-77 I’ve seen your email that has come through to Admin and we’re looking into it at the moment.

Same here. I’ve jumped beyond where I was (middle of Challenge 3, by the website method of reckoning), and can’t get it to go back all the way.

A quick early morning update for you all - this is being worked on and very close to being resolved from what I hear. It just seems to be affecting the Welsh North course.

Right, I’ve just had a chat with Rich and the blip with Welsh North should be fixed now. Give it another try and see how you go.

Brilliant, Deborah. I at least am sorted. I couldn’t swear that I’m back at the exact location in the material, but at minimum I’m definitely back in familiar territory. Many thanks to yourself, Rich and anyone else involved, for the prompt attention and resolution.

Hi Deborah. Sorry, contrary to my previous post I’m still having problems with the Welsh North course. Like @Richard-77 I’m now in “black belt” instead of somewhere in orange. The current question showing is introducing “to give an excuse”.

I’d done a couple of short sessions since my previous post, and felt like I was possibly repeating recent material somewhat, but not badly. Last night I picked the app up just before settling to sleep, and noticed that the material seemed to have a sequencing issue, with questions including words that I haven’t met yet turning up in the middle of the section I was doing. (As an example, I’d just had “Rhaid i mi/fi” and “bo’ fi” introduced, and suddenly I had an example including the verbnoun for “agree” that I haven’t met yet, and the speakers were rattling through the spoken answers noticably faster. And about 3 questions later the word for “city” turned up with no introduction along with other vocabulary that I can’t remember but definitely don’t have yet, and I gave up for the evening.) But what came next is probably more useful diagnostically.

This morning when I came back to the app I was logged out, and after logging back in my content seemed right back at the beginning (the first question content was either “siarad” or “siarad Cymraeg”). I tried to skip forward, but the skip button did nothing. I tried rebooting my phone and after the reboot the app stopped coming up completely (white screen and nothing more). So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now it’s working again - but I’m black belt, apparently.

If it helps, the “belt” is now showing across the top of the app play screen, whereas before my reinstall that wasn’t there, and the information was only in the stats, so I presume there’s been an app update recently. Oh, and appparently it thinks that I hit “black belt” 10 days ago.

Hmm, OK, I’ll forward all that information through to the Tech Team. It seems this problem only affected a small number of people, and for most of them it is now fixed, but for a few of you, the team will need to delve a little deeper.

Thanks Deborah. Could you possibly pass the following on as well if it might be useful, please? I’ve noticed that, when I try to “switch to my course”, the blurred display behind the spinning timer is showing the correct (orange) belt for me. And when the course finally loads and dumps me into black, the bar length (completion percentage) looks to be similar or identical to the orange one I could just see. It’s as though it’s starting to load the correct information, then blipping and changing the belt.

I’ve just emailed you with the same problem - thought I’d check on here in case there is a way of solving it! I’m on black belt but jumped from 83% to 92%!

Can this be reversed? I don’t want to miss out on the new content.

Rich seems to have managed to sort this out for me. But I needed to be logged out while he did it.

This is happening to me to, I’ve noticed on two occasions words being used that haven’t been explained. When I try and go back it just makes things worse with the app jumping all over the place :(.

And… I’m back in Yellow. ((Sighs in Gog.))
