Account access issues?

Hey !

Has anyone had any problems logging into the SSiW app. The website seems ok but it’s not recognising my known password and the forgot password link seems broken.

I’ve only logged out because I couldn’t progress past challenge 5 so I imagine the two are linked

I too cannot access new lessons on the ap which will not download and will not accept my password. This problem started yesterday but I can get the material on my lap top.

Mine is the same! can’t login on the app at all or download any new challenges! hope it gets fixed soon !

I did a quick test, and I can login alright right now in the app (on Android).
Do you use Apple/Iphone or Android?
Do you have the most recent version?

I’m using Apple. I gave the admin an email and apparently the SSiW app is being discontinued in favour of the SSi app for multiple languages which I think is the route of the problem.

Thing is I want to use the course I started with but currently am not able to access it on the new app despite being supposed to be able to.

Will keep you updated.

Maybe the best thing is to download MP3s from the website for now?

I am the same in that all of a sudden yesterday I could not log in to the SSiW app (lesson 25 of Level1). It does not recognise my password nor let me renew password so I am left without! If I in reinstall the app will I lose my record at all?

I’m also having the same problem. The Advanced level has also disappeared for me, both on the App and on the webpage.

The material that you call “Advanced level” is what now is called “Old Course Level 3”, so it didn’t disappear – it was just renamed.

Here is a recent thread with some more info:

The other problem (with the login difficulty) seems to affect only users with iPhones. The app that you seem to use is largely outdated and it isn’t maintained anymore. If you search the App Store for “SaySomethingin”, you should find the newest version that is in active development.

I’d like to clarify that when I said I could login and use the app aright I was talking about the new app.
I hadn’t realized that questions and troubles logging in were with the new app (which I had deleted some time ago). Sorry for the misunderstanding!

While I’m here, I have to say I’m a bit confused about courses now.

When I started there were the Old Courses (can’t remember how many, but had lessons called “lessons”).

And in another section, the “New course” (the one I did), still not complete but then became with 3 Levels and had lessons called “challenges”.

Soon after, the “Advanced content” started, with the interviews and stories with transcriptions.

Now on the website I see a section called Classic Challenges which contains links to Old Course 1, Old course 2 and Old Course 3.

If I click on Old Course 3, under a series of lessons, there are three more buttons:

Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 which actually contain what was once the “new course”, the one with Challenges.

On the website, then I can see the Automagic section, and yet one more section called “Advanced content” that still contains the same interviews and material that I remember as “Advanced content”.

But from @Hendrik’ s explanatiin I understand there a different Advanced content that has been renamed but I wonder what that was, then!

The details are in the linked thread in a post by Deborah, but the main point is that “Old Course 2” was at that time called “Intermediate” and “Old Course 3” was “Advanced”.

Oh thanks, and sorry I was looking at the thread on the phone with a tired brain and missed the link!

Diolch yn fawr am eich help chi!

This is an issue that the Tech Team are aware of and are looking into to see if there’s a quick fix.

It can be resolved though if you download the latest SaySomethingin app and use that.

It gives you the latest learning methodology, and a selection of languages, but if you wish to continue with the audio files, then you have a couple of options.

You can find them through the new app by going to Account => My Resources => Classic Challenges, or Original Courses, if you want those. (Note that you may be shown the My Subscription page as a default. If that happens just click the back arrow at the top to get to the My Resources list.)

Or, if you prefer, you can log into the website at SaySomethingin and use the ‘Learn’ then ‘Classic Challenges’ option at the top. If you’re after the Old/Original Courses, then you’ll need to scroll down on any Challenge and you’ll find the links there.

Note that all the audio files are downloadable, so you’re welcome to save them to your device for ease of access later.
