New series starts. Next Sunday 9.00 pm. Not recommending. I was a bit ambivalent about complex plots, confusing similar looking actors. But it is certainly a series with originality! Not sure about International availability!
I really enjoyed the first series, not so sure about the following one. I’ll reserve my opinion until a few episodes into this coming one, but still good to get another S4C drama series.
Yes - I liked the first one until the end (which I thought was a cop-out), but didn’t get into the second much and stopped watching. I’m really behind on all my telly, but I’ll try to catch this one (once I’ve caught up with my other drama series!)
Not sure what I think of this one. Convoluted as ever. So far don’t find any characters very appealing.
I’ve just finished watching 35 Diwrnod and I enjoyed it to much! I was completely gripped and I couldn’t wait for the final episode. Watched with subtitles, but I was able to understand most of it without them. Anyone else enjoyed this as much as me?
Ooh, has the final episode been on? I always watch it on catch-up so I’ve lost track of when it’s on, but I have to agree with you @carysaldoushughes. Out of the series that have been on so far, I think this one has been the best. I can’t say I personally like any of the characters - almost any one of them could be the murderer - but the acting is superb!
Thoroughly enjoyed it! Haven’t finished the final episode yet so shhh
Yep its been on. I’d started watching when half of the episodes were already available, but then I had the infuriating wait each week between the final two! I agree, they all are pretty shifty!
I didn’t watch the previous series and I can’t find it anywhere to watch it unfortunately.
Don’t worry, no spoilers from me!
If anything, Carys, I’d say the characters in the, first series were even shiftier!
Enjoyable but a pity that it ended leaving so many unanswered questions.
I watched the last episode this morning! Brilliant! Fantastic series. It should be sold across the world.
Cymru could make a name for itself with series like this and Y Gwyll!
Completely agree! I’m looking forward to y Llyfrgell on Sunday
And me! I kept trying to see it when it was being shown in different places, but I was never in the right place at the right time.
No spoilers, but I have to say: the book is much better. (For some reason, after the first section the film goes off on a completely different plot…)
Thanks all! I’ve been meaning to set Y Llyfrgell to record and find out more about it! So now I know it is only partly based on a book and that I’ll need to read that after watching!!!
I didn’t realise it was a book. Who wrote it?
To @sarapeacock I’d like to know too, and whether it is in English as well as Welsh. (My reading has got terrible!)
Apparently Fflur Dafydd wrote it, and also wrote the screen play so maybe she decided to change the plot a little to suit the different genre.
I’ve just watched the official trailer on YouTube and I was going to post the link here, but I think it gives too much away. I’m disappointed that I’ve seen it now. I always try to avoid the ‘Coming next week’ segment at the end of TV programmes in a series. I prefer to wait and have the suspense.
Agree in
I share a house with a person who watches the ends of programmes first because she doesn’t like nasty surprises! Needless to say, we have separate sitting rooms and virtually never watch anything together!! While we were building my third of the house and had to share a sitting room…not quite hell, but I watched a lot of things when she was at work, even if it meant seeing them again later!
As a writer, I found her so frustrating! I’d go to all this trouble to try for an unexpected but reasonable ending, hoping to surprise.. and she went straight there before reading even the first line!!
