This created some really good conversations last week - but needed a tiny tweak in the rules - see below - letā€™s give that a go this week!

Come with a conversational question - and make it a question youā€™d like to answer yourself :wink: e.g.

We are practicing Yes or No answers this week -

So ask a question which requires an initial:

Do/ Naddo,
Oes/ Na(g oes), or present tense answer

Examples

Hi!

Trying to be a bit more confident. Do the weekly zooms still happen on a Saturday for the Leeds meet up? Iā€™ve been trying to do the listening exercises and struggling. Wondering if speaking with actual people would be better! :slight_smile:

Yep still going! In fact we are trying an experiment this week where the ā€˜Leeds meetingā€™ is at 11 and runs straight into the ā€˜Zoom at Noonā€™ which is open to all-comers.

Personally I think that real conversations with people, combined with SSIW material, is a rocket ship trip to speaking and understanding

Hi All Yorkshire Group,

As Wales Wheelchair Rugby League Team Manager can I remind you that 2021 Is Rugby League Wold Cup year and Wales Wheelchair Rugby League team will be based in Sheffield for all their group games and (hopefully) the semi-finals. It would be great to see some of the Yorkshire Group at the games - a chance to support Wales and chat in Welsh!
