They can sort of both translate to “can you” in English, but that’s because the English is being a bit vague - we say “can you open the window?” but we could mean “are you able to open the window?” or “will you open the window?”
The Welsh verbs are a bit more precise!
wnei di = will you (do)
allet ti = are you able to
