"Whilst there, I stayed at...": "nes i aros" or "on i'n aros"?

My understanding of the difference between the “nes i” and the “on i” past tense constructions is that “nes i” is used for a completed task (perfect) and “on i” for an ongoing task (imperfect").
If I wish to say that “I was there for a week and I stayed in a hotel”, how would I translate “I stayed”? “Nes i aros” or “on i’n aros”?
Thanks!

I’d go ‘bues i yno am wythnos a wnes i aros mewn gwesty’…

But ‘O’n i yno am wythnos’ is pretty normal too… and it wouldn’t be the end of the world if you said ‘O’n i yno am wythnos ac o’n i’n aros mewn gwesty’…
