When do you move on instead of reviewing more?

I’ve been learning Spanish for a while now and I still get stuck on this. Sometimes I’ll spend days trying to get comfortable with something, then move on and realize a week later that I’ve already forgotten half of it anyway. but if I keep going back to review everything until I feel like I know it properly, I feel like i never make any progress. How do you guys handle this? Do you just move on and trust that things will stick eventually, or do you keep reviewing until you feel more confident?

@rosa that’s a very normal part of learning a language. Some things stick very quickly, others seem to need a lot more exposure. They will be there below the surface, but they stubbornly refuse to come to mind when you want them, then mysteriously one day they become easy and you wonder why it took them so long!

Just keep going! Those words and phrases will come round again, and you will eventually be able to get them out. Just say as much as you can remember, even if it’s just how the beginning of the word sounds, and each time you try, your brain will encode a little more information until they start to come without effort.
