Hi, so have been using the app for a couple of years. I completed all 3 levels of new course and have recently been simultaneously redoing level 2 and 3 of the new course and also doing level 1 of the old course.
I didn’t have a previous download on my phone of some lessons on level 2 so went to download them and it wouldn’t. It then kept logging me out. I changed my password and this didn’t help. So I thought the app might be faulty and reinstalled it. Big mistake as it is now completely different and I can’t find anything I was used to using. It it wants to start me from the beginning again!
I know I can access things as they were via the website, but the app was kind of handy. Is there a way to access the content of the old app?
Thanks
The old app has been superceded by the new one, but there are two ways to access the old audio-based courses.
From the new app, if you go to ‘Account’ then ‘My Resources’ you can scroll down and find the links to the files on the website. Or you can log straight into the website - SaySomethingin - and use the ‘Learn’ menu to get to them.
They’re all downloadable, so you can save them to your device as mp3 files for easy access afterwards.
If you’d like to move forward in the new app, just go into ‘Account’ then ‘My languages’ and use the pencil icon to select another belt colour further on.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve got that now thanks. When I was on the app this morning, the ‘account’ option didn’t then have any further options, it was just something saying I’m subscribed. Whereas now it gives the options you listed.
Thanks
That looks helpful - I was thinking of jumping to Black Belt in Welsh for occasional random practice - and is new to me; unfortunately the pencil icon doesn’t seem to do anything at all on my Android phone. Not sure if this is a case for more testing - in the meantime, do you know if the pencil is also accessible via the web?
It works on my Android phone sometimes. If the pencil icon is too close to the right edge it doesn’t, so it depends on the length of the belt you’re already on. The Tech Team are aware of the problem and it’s on their list of things to solve.
Yes, it is there in the browser version of the app, and it has a lot more space around it, so it shojuld always work there. Try logging out from the mobile app, logging into the browser version and adjusting your position there, then logging out and logging back into the mobile app. In theory, that should pick up your new position.
The browser did the trick, diolch!
