Welsh tour guide

For the last year I have been doing a Foreign Tour Guide course at the Israeli School of Tourism, where we are learning how to be group leaders for foreign tours, working with the local guide. The course started before COVID-19, and I’m thinking ahead optimistically . As part of the course, we have to choose a tourist destination and write a major project based on it, including compiling a 7-day itinerary. The purpose of the project is to demonstrate our understanding of what we’ve learned over the year.
I wish to choose Wales as my destination, because I love the place, and if ever I qualify, and if tourism picks up again, I would be interested in specialising in accompanying tours to Wales. Furthermore, Wales is not a major destination from Israel and I’d like to do my bit to change this.
For help in writing my project work (primarily in composing a balanced itinerary) I would like to get in contact with someone on the Forum who either has experience in planning and leading tours in Wales, or who knows of someone who does. Three points:

  1. I’m not looking for suggestions on places to go and things to do - thanks anyway!
  2. We are trained to work with the local (Welsh/UK) guides and not to compete with them. We effectively act as the Group Leaders, and we would normally be accompanied by a local guide who is regarded as an essential element of the trip.
  3. Composing the itinerary is a student exercise only.

I would be grateful for any help here. Diolch yn fawr!

I’ve sent you a PM
