S’mae i bawb,
Earlier this week I was at the Franciscan Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth in northern Israel, and I discovered the courtyard covered in devotions from many countries. To my pleasant surprise there’s one from Wales, so I thought I’d share it. As can be seen from the Welsh inscription, these are obviously devotions to Mary, mother of Jesus.
I would be interested to hear from those of you who know more about Christianity than do I what the significance is of the particular motifs in the Welsh devotion.
