I’ve been watching Dal Ati where they have have been pairing up Welsh learners with fluent families. Does anyone know where companies producing content for S4C advertise for people to take part in programmes? From what I understand S4C relies heavily on external production companies for a lot of its content. I’ve had a look back at the news section on the website of the company behind Dal Ati but there’s nothing about looking for people to take part.
It depends on the production company and the type of contributor they’re looking for. Some will put a shout out to social media, some will rely on internal research (which could be contacting various learner groups or knowing people in their own networks, or from seeing/hearing people on other programmes), or a mixture of both.
I kind of imagined a lot of it would be done by word of mouth. A lot of people working for companies will already know Welsh learners which saves the hassle of putting out adverts, vetting applicants etc.
Yes, some of them have excellent Welsh learner networks to draw upon or advise colleagues about
