Walking Weekend in Llandysul

This isn’t a Welsh-only walking group, but there will be quite a few Welsh speakers there, and the couple leading the walk are first-language Welsh speakers so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to have a go at using your Welsh.

Circular Llandysul Walk
Friday, 20th August July 2021 approx. 6 or 7 miles,

5pm, meet at Llandysul Bridge

Circular walk meet at the Llandysul Bridge at 5pm. Then on to Pontolwen, and bank to IS CRAUDDYN, down to WAUN LLUEST, on to GORRIG then to Llandysul.
About 6/7 miles depending on the weather it can be less or slightly longer.
No dogs.
Refreshments at the Half Moon pub on return.
£3 per person – Children under 16 free.

There is another Walking Weekend coming up in Llandysul - Sept 25/26. Most of the walks are mixed language where you will find other walkers to chat to in Welsh, but the language of the walk may be English.

There is a specific walk aimed at Welsh speakers on the Sunday though, and learners are very welcome.

Here are the details for the weekend - with the Welsh language walk the second one on Sunday:

  1. “From Paupers to Postmen” (easy, about 1.5 hour local history walk)

Saturday 25th September, 9.45am

  1. Capel Iwan Circular Walk (8 miles. Moderate)
  2. Afon Ceri walk (7 miles. Moderate)

Saturday, 7pm : Bingo & BBQ in the marquee at Y Porth

Sunday 26th September, 10am

  1. Children’s interactive history walk (2 miles. Under 11s with parent or guardian)
  2. Prengwyn Walk (4 miles. Moderate. Welsh is the language of this walk – all learners welcome)
  3. Plasgeler Walk (about 6 miles. Moderate).
