Ar Gered - Bwlch Nant yr Arian

Ar Gered: the aim is to hold monthly Welsh language guided tours in “Y Topie” (“the tops”), which is a lovely area full of hidden gems north of Aberystwyth. Walking the trails in this area is full of glorious scenery, history and myths that give me great pleasure and I hope to be able to share some of this with you over the coming months.

Ar Gered’s first walk will be in the area of Bwlch Nant yr Arian and Llyn Blaenmelindwr on Saturday morning March 19th.

This is a four-mile Welsh guided tour that starts at the popular forestry center at Bwlch Nant yr Arian before walking along the ridge for spectacular views of the Rheidol Valley and much more. We’ll discover Llyn Blaenmelindwr which is one of the beautiful lakes in Y Topie before heading back to the woods to catch the famous red kites feeding and enjoying a lunch and and a cuppa at the café.

A Welsh medium tour for Welsh speakers of all levels including new speakers. Booking is essential by emailing Steffan.rees@ceredigion.gov.uk.
