Visit to Wales

My visit to Wales and Bootcamp might be back on. I’m trying for September. I’m wondering how I can find out if there are any welsh courses offered in September or November. Live in courses would be ideal. I can go anywhere in Wales. If anyone can help me with some information I would be grateful. Thank you.

Nant Gwrtheyrn would be worth a try - residential courses in a beautiful location: http://www.nantgwrtheyrn.org/languagecourses

The “Welsh for Adults” centres run week-long courses during the holidays - there is a half-term holiday some time in the autumn (now my kids are grown up I don’t know when that would be!) so there might be a course then. You could email the centre to ask if they know yet what they will be offering and when. Here’s the contact details for the Cardiff centre, for example:

It’s not residential, but you could try find Welsh-speaking B&B accommodation, as @Karla did when she was here. (Or perhaps an SSiWer could put you up?)

There are similar centres all round the country, so it will depend where you want to be.

Nant Gwrtheyrn would also be my no.1 choice though - fabulous place

It’s worth keeping an eye on Cymdeithas yr Iaith, they run weekend courses (there’s one in Tresaith soon and was one in Colwyn Bay not long ago).

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. Much appreciated.

Happy to put you up. Sadly i don’t live in a welsh speaking area and my house isn’t great but you are very welcome.

Hello Pete, it’s very kind of you to offer. Unfortunately I’ve decided I won’t be going to Wales this year for many reasons. I’m disappointed but am looking forward to next year. Everyone has given me lots of ideas. There are nice people on the forum.
