Tour de france in welsh

Just a heads up for S4Cs coverage of this great event. For the first time there will be live coverage every afternoon in Welsh. It starts on the 5th through 27th of July. I’ll be cheering on, Geraint Thomas.

watch out for the Ddraig Coch dros y sul…We have an active little group here in Leeds who will be around the course. Starts tomorrow evening when the riders process through the city centre. Mae’n Geraint, gallu ennill fe ein o dyddau. Cer bach, cer!

Really enjoying S4Cs first class coverage. Swydd Efrog/Yorkshire has some incredible country side…
The Welsh is easy to understand as well!

Live coverage from 14:45 today as well.

Hope you are still watching, Geraint is a true heir to Owain Glyndwr…we painted ‘CER!’ on the hill outside Addingham (Ilkey nesa) on Stage 2…judging by today when he lead the entire field for the best part of 30 miles, he must have taken the message on board. Pob lwc ma’e Geraint bach!

ooops ‘Ilkley nesa’ — as in ‘moor ba tat’ and ‘led’ not ‘lead’ …this is partly why Welsh is so wonderful…you forget how to write English.

Still watching! Geraint’s still well within striking distance… Croesi bysedd!

The whole nation should be proud of Geraint…he has nudged up a few places to 16th overall today and, with just two mountainous stages to ride, he has every chance of at least holding that position. There isn’t anyone else from GB left, ma’e Geraint yn sefyll olaf dyn
