Ssiw badges

I am going to the Eisteddford and had a little thought, it would be nice to have SSIW badges to wear, so if there are other people there undertaking the smae course we would recognise each other. This would be good out in ‘the wild’ too,
Do you sell badges at all ?

There are some badges (and lots of other stuff) available via Zazzle. If you click on FAQ in the top banner, the page you get has a set of buttons at the top, on of which is ‘shop’ - clicking that will take you to the Zazzle site. I would think it’s a bit late to order in time for the eisteddfod though.

Thanks Siaron, I have been on Sassle but could not see any badges. I will look again, maybe I missed them. Did see some but none at SSIW on them.

Yeah, there aren’t any with just SSiW although they all have it somewhere (albeit smaller than the rest of the text).

Maybe this is something SSIW could look at producing for the future ?

There are badges. I’ve bought one a while ago too but they take a bit long to arrive so definatelly too late for the Eisteddfod. Here’s the one I’ve bought: https://www.zazzle.co.uk/dw_i_ddim_yn_gallu_6_cm_round_badge-145289895934038049

I think that would be a really cool idea

Thank you. I have looked at this but I still think a badge with just SSIW in red with big letters would be the best to have, especially for people who do not have good eyesight. You need something large and standing out.
SSIW please consider getting us a badge !!

It does appear that there are a few options already out there (and a few forum conversations).
There’s the orange comma

SSi was something what @Oddsandgirl had in mind and the last link was the one I’ve put the link to also. Well, to be honest I wasn’t totally happy with the design also and this design is not the one you can change of course because the logo is of the copyright thing. Well, I’d be hapier if it whould just have the big SSiW logo on it and nothing else instead, to be honest. I believe “Oddsandgirl” meant to have such SSiW badge rather than “I’m learning Welsh” because you can prety much see badges of who learns or speaks Welsh and it’s kind of recognizable who is learning/speaking and who is not, but from the crowd of learners it’s a bit difficult to devide those who are SSiW learners and those who are not. Am I right to think you thought this “Oddsandgirl”?

Ah fair enough, I see your point. I also agree with your comments regarding the design of the SSI badge too - it’s not the clearest

Oh and yes, you’re right, that was the same link you put up. It seems I read the posts and immediately forgot what they said! Doh! :frowning:

Yes, thats exactly my point. Would be nice to identify SSIW Learners, and of a reaasonable size some of the badges I have seen that signify a person Learning welsh are very small. YOu dont want to be staring at people !!! A nice badge with a red SSIW would be easily seen.

Hey all, I didn’t read through all 12 responses but um going to eisteddfod and I’m thinking I’ll make my own badge, or write it on a piece of clothing / sewn on a rag or something , much more fun :’)

Hi Samina, did you make a badge in the end, and did anyone ask you about it?
