Speaking and listening

There is quite a bit of research going on about this. It makes sense of course, but I myself had never thought about it.

To me, this stuff validates the SSi method, in particular the practice sessions, and it emphasises the need to get as much conversational practice as possible. But we knew that already…

It’s one of the reasons I’m looking forward so much to seeing how the new listening practices for the new Course 1 go - because they’re modelled on real conversations, the intention being to give people some initial maps from which they’ll be able to start predicting…:slight_smile:
