So glad to be back!

Hello everybody, three years ago I began my Welsh language learning journey. Got to Level One C 15ish, then life through a few curveballs. However, I’m batting again and loving AutoMagic. The dream of living in North Wales is back on.
Please can anyone help me with what I hope is not too silly a question. It’s about - ‘I didn’t’ -
I am confused when it is ‘wnes i ddim’ or ‘do’n i ddim’.
Many thanks for any help.
Pete

Croeso nôl!

not a silly question at all - it often gets asked.
When you’re talking about a continuous state in the past, it’s do’n i ddim (e.g. do’n i ddim yn gwybod), and if it’s a completed one-off action, then it’s wnes i (e.g. wnes i agor y drws).
