I already know we have at least 1 SSiWer running the marathon here on Saturday. I will be working with the TV crews again, so if anyone is about and fancies a quick chat when I’m in between duties (don’t panic, I won’t stick a camera in your face!), whether you’re running or supporting, do come and say s’mae to the short woman in the hugh orange hi-vis coat (and probably green fluffy hat) as I’ll be hanging around Llanberis all day!
(and of course I’ll be SSiWing the heck out of everyone who makes the slightest suggestion of wishing they could speak Welsh )

Pob lwc to the SSiWer (hands up please) that Siaron knows about, and to any others running in the marathon. I hope you get a good day for it!

Try to give us a hint when you are on screen as to who the SSiWer runner is! Sad that there is such a short coverage this year. Lack of funds I suspect. Do they pay you danger money for lurking on slippy slopes with runners galloping down on you? Anyone wanting to see more - blame UK Government for short broadcast!
I won’t be on screen (well not on purpose - I sometimes get caught in a shot at the finish line by accident!). The best I can do is have a word with the crew doing the vox pops, although there’s no guarantee and not always time to show all of those even. The programme is no shorter than usual, but it’s always a tight squeeze and we never get to include as much as we’d like. It’ll be on on S4C at 4.30pm on Sunday (29th Oct) and again at 10.30pm on Monday (30th October).

@siaronjames did I see you give a great big cup to the winner?_What happened to early leader Scott Harrington? He seemed to drop out , but if we were told why, i missed it!
No, that wasn’t me with the cup, that was the race organiser, Jayne Lloyd. I was there lurking in the distance during one or two of the interviews though - big orange coat, fluffy hat and clipboard!
Scott Harrington actually finished 8th in the end.

I was kind of hoping that you might be able to grab Huw ‘Mr Huw’ Owen for an interview. Get him booked for next year. Always fun to see formerly hard-living rock and rollers now getting their kicks from something altogether more wholesome.
Yeah, we didn’t manage to catch him this year! He’s run it a few times. He finished 39th overall this year in a time of 03:34:12 - pretty impressive!
