In the past Dysgu Cymraeg Gwent has run schemes pairing up Welsh learners with first language or confident new Welsh speakers. This is a very successful way of not only increasign the confidence of the learner, but helping them into the often vibrant Welsh language society that goes on around them but can be almost invisible to non-Welsh speakers.
It will be running again this year as Cynllun Siarad Gwent and they are particularly keen to attract a few more first language or advanced new Welsh speakers to help out. This is the website with more information - Cynllun Siarad Gwent
