Sgwrs 32 (Advanced content) Spoileriaid!

Yeeeees… a translationless Sgwrs! Don’t ask. Technology. Fine when it works, fury-inducing when it doesn’t! I will be re-doing the translation over the coming hours, but there is a recording and a transcript for you to be starting with.
Subjects - teacher training and foster care.
I’m now going to drink lots of coffee and eat my children’s sweets…

That seems like a calm and measured response - I congratulate you…

Wow @beca-brown - Miriam is another fantastically enthusiastic and amazingly eloquent young person!

The teaching profession will be very lucky to have her.

Quite apart from the Welsh I have found a few of your Sgwrs of late quite inspiring / motivational / re-assuring about people and human nature in general!

…an extra side benefit to the weekly Welsh Sgwrs

Just a heads up: @beca-brown - there’s about 15 blank pages at the end of the transcript. Meaning about 15 blank pages fire themselves out of the printer. (Bit of shock for anyone who doesn’t notice and happen to page per page when they print)

How strange! I must have pushed something by accident. I’ll put it up again. Will be putting the translation up soon anyway.

I will pass on your lovely message! I try to find positive and life-affirming types if I can… we need to remember how many excellent people there are out there who are often unsung and who are just going about their business quietly, but their influence on the world around them is pretty immense.
Also, we get told all the bad news stories about young people all the time, and rarely the good stuff…

Yes. That’s true.

She also has an accent you could cut with a knife like a wheel of cheese.…oh and a hyperspace button.

I particularly like the end of the sentence right at the beginning where Miriam is talking about Llanrug and says she can’t think of a better place to grow up…wow…that doesn’t half fly by!

Because it is the bank holiday I’ve been working through with the pause button trying to understand why I find certain sections hard to understand

It’s great.

Did you spot the bit where she corrects herself?! It’s one of the mistakes that gets the goat of all Welsh teachers, and we all make it all the time - in English you ‘sit’ an exam, and in Welsh you ‘stand’ one. So she corrects herself with a giggle because she’s probably been told off about it a million times!!

The translation is up now. Eisteddfod practices, junior football and charity cake stalls kinda slowed things down a bit…!
