Hi I am just over mid way intermediate course. Are rhaid and gorfod interchangeable?

I looked this up. According to Gareth King, when using it as obligation - (I must go to the store.) - they are interchangeable. But when used as supposition - (You must be mad.) - gorfod doesn’t work, you have to use rhaid.
