I hope I am not being dense but what do I record on to upload to SoundCloud. On my phone there is only video that I can find to record my voice. Help?
I used the built-in audio record facility on my laptop to record mine (in Windows 10). I’m afraid I have no idea how to find things like that on a phone (my phone is strictly a dumbphone!), but maybe someone who does will be able to offer some suggestions.
I have done that now and uploaded to SoundCloud. Next question, how to share to ssiw? I am sorry for being such a pain.
Not a pain at all - it took me a while to get it too!
Apparently Soundcloud has changed since I used it to upload my recordings, so I’m not sure if what I’m going to say will work, but there was a box you could press to “share”, and this gave you a file name/url which you could then copy and paste into the relevant bit here on the forum.
As I said, that might be different now (I haven’t looked for myself recently, I admit) - there have been a lot of people posting lately saying they are having difficulties with it though, so if that’s the case, it may have to be a matter of hanging on to your recording for the time being while the SSiW tech team try and get our own recording/sharing gear running (which I’ve heard they’re working on).

Thank you. I did it on the laptop but then had to send the ling to myself on email to copy from my mobile as I was unable to do it from the laptop to the forum. Weird but it was the only way I could be manage it. Very long process really. Thank you so much for your help.
