Going back through the Black Belt material for revision, I came across this:
The prompt says:
"For “her” as in "I told her’ I want you to say “iddi”.’
Now it’s taken me some time to get used to saying “wrthi” (and equivalents,) following “dweud”.
What fresh hell is this?
With “told” it’s wrthi but it’s iddi with some other words such as gofyn (to ask) - nes i ofyn iddi is one way to say “I asked her” for example.
I’ll see if I can find that in the course and correct it if it’s not right, diolch.
EDIT: I’ve found it in the course and it gives “to ask her” as the example, so it’s fine.
Hi Deborah. I copied what it says exactly. And it said “I told her”. It only translates the “iddi” part not the "ddwedes i’.
OK, well, either it appears somewhere else as well and I didn’t find that, or, which is more likely, it has been fixed already but the updated version hasn’t gone through yet.
The black belt part of the course does annoy me a bit. Most of the stuff is words used in context, but iddi is one of those that means very little out of context. I’ve also seen “right”, which can be a direction or mean “correct”. I chose to ignore the isolated words as not very helpful.

Ah! I didn’t spot that it was Welsh South you were talking about. That used to be in Welsh North and we fixed it there, but I didn’t realise it had somehow crept into Welsh South as well.
