Por favor

Hola
Is "por favor " considered necessary all the time?
With every request?
Quisiera una taza de tae (por favor!)

Muchas gracias

No - the Spanish think that English speakers overuse the word please. I’ve had one person tell me it sounds like they’re begging all the time

In normal ordering of food or drinks, for example, you rarely hear anyone say por favor. As long as it’s done with a polite tone of voice, that’s enough.
