Hello everyone. I just completed level 3, challenge 24 and the Welsh numbers for three and four (tri, pedair) came up and I don’t remember having previously learned them in any of the lessons (I knew them because I had already learned them in Duolingo). I’m wondering if I may have inadvertently skipped a lesson. Can anyone confirm that they had been officially introduced, or were they just thrown into level 3 lesson 24 by surprise?
Hi Nick, I can’t answer your question but have recently completed the entire standard course on the red SSIW app and they didn’t come up at all - which has always puzzled me.
Like you, I’ve already come across them in my recently completed Duolingo course and so you’ve inspired me to go back and check out the latter challenges.
It does seems an odd omission. If you want some SSi style Numbers, go to the Old Course 1 Vocab. Lesson 1 covers them.
They are introduced in the SSIW app but only when I got to Black Belt level.
In a sentence something like
Bydda i’n barod ym mhen tair neu bedair munud
Note feminine forms to agree with munud
(I’ll be ready in 3 or 4 minutes)
I have completed the black belt but don’t recall that - curious ![]()
If you’re doing the southern course, tair and pedair are introduced in Level 3, Challenge 20, but I don’t see them in the northern course.
