Ddrwg iawn gen iā€¦

Yah ā€¦ Weā€™re not allowed to have it or better said, itā€™s not available for us despite Iā€™m nagging them already for quite some years and they made a promise to enable us the service but those are obviously the ones who think itā€™s not worthy to try a bit harder ā€¦

So, ja, problem in Slovena (among not so many problems regarding musical thingys). Sometimes I feel like Iā€™d live on another planet and not in EU.

Not sure how many of you are up for it but I could bring some sculpture materials to play around with.

Just a few words about the accommodation and sleeping arrangements.

Bath and hand towels are included and so is bed linen, but we did have a shortage one year so it may be an idea for one or two of you to bring a towel just in case. The house also has a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer as well as an iron and ironing board. There is WiFi available.

The rooms mostly have hard floors and Ground source underfloor heating throughout, but if you like to be shoeless indoors maybe slipper-socks or a light pair of slippers may be a good idea. The accommodation also includes a private sauna/steam shower cabin, so bring your swimwear if you feel like making the most of this little luxury and also like to be discreetā€¦

All the bedrooms in the two cottages are really beautiful, though some are a little more spectacular. They are all tastefully decorated, comfortable, private and warm, with fabulous views of open countryside. Most but not all bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Most bedrooms are on the ground floor. Please note that there are enough bedrooms for all Bootcampers to have one each!

I am aware that some may arrive earlier than others and will want to deposit bags in bedrooms and freshen up. So unless anyone has specific requirements, such as being unable to use stairs, or a strong dislike of sharing a bathroom, then we thought best to leave the bedrooms to a first come, first served basis.

Having said thatā€¦

In Deri Lleyn, right at the very end of the cottage, there is one quite spectacular bedroom suite with a super-king four poster bed, spa bath and its own private living space! Seeing as we do have one married couple coming to stay, we thought it only fair for them to have this room. I hope everyone agrees.

Gadlas bedrooms:

Downstairs:

Bedroom 1 - twin room with en suite. Ground level - sleeps 2
Bedroom 2 - twin room up a few steps from kitchen - sleeps 2
Bedroom 3 - king size bed and single/bunk bed up a few steps from kitchen - sleeps 2

(Both bedroom 2 and 3 share a bathroom.)

Upstairs:

Bedroom 4 - a family suite with king size bed and two singles and en suite bathroom with fabulous free standing bath - sleeps 3
Bedrom 5 - a king size bed and en suite and views to die for - sleeps 1

Deri Lleyn bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 (The Suite) ā€“ Superking 4-poster bed and spa bath in corner of bedroom, opening out to a conservatory sitting area with TV. Ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 2 - Family bedroom with 1 king plus 1 full size bunk bed.
Bedroom 3 - Superking bed (this can also be made into 2 twin beds please request this option upon booking)
Bedroom 4 - Superking bed (this can also be made into 2 twin beds please request this option upon booking). En-suite level entry wet room.

(Bedroom 2 and 3 share a bathroom with bath, steam-shower cubicle, basin, toilet and tiled floor.)

I will have prepared a meal for the first evening, taking in to consideration any specific dietary requirements - please bring alcohol! I will also have made a small collection of essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and so on. But please bring breakfast for Saturday morning.

Please note that you donā€™t have to laiden yourself with groceries during your journey to Pen Llyn, as there will be an opportunity to do as much food shopping as you like on the Saturday in Pwllheli.

You are welcome to and encouraged to bring any favourite Welsh games, books, CDs, favourite recipes, musical instruments or instruments linked to any other special talent or hobby, or anything else which encourages sharing and enhances social gatherings.

Please donā€™t plan on sending me to hospital already!

I know for a fact that you can already speak Welsh :stuck_out_tongue:

That sounds like a giggle to me

CAKE

Well, thereā€™s one of meā€¦
I think 9 is right, yes, but that doesnā€™t include Aran and Catrin.

OK, if people are going to want to try to have a go to make it worth the hassle, Iā€™ll try to bring them along
Just so long as they donā€™t sit unloved in the corner all week - Iā€™ll want everyone to show me up with their immediately superior abilities

We could also bring a violin? My Pachelbelā€™s Canon in Distressed Cat is coming on beautifullyā€¦

Oooo - or I could bring my tap shoes!!! No? OK thenā€¦

Iā€™m happy to make brownies at some point, sculpture sounds super cool, and recreating Radio Bwtcamp again would be fab

Iā€™m hoping for a couple of other repeat experiences but I wonā€™t say what they are for fear of spoilersā€¦ Letā€™s just say I really enjoyed Sunday and Thursday evenings (I think?!) last year

As for the room suggestion, as one half of the married couple, thatā€™d be lovely, thank you

Iā€™m not the only one who heard that, am I?

Brilliant post @catrinlliarjones.

Another thing that I find very handy to bring along is a notepad and pen, sometimes it makes a difference when trying to explain something when you donā€™t have the words. It is very tempting to sneak a look at a dictionary while struggling also so I would suggest not taking one in the first place.

@wondersheep, please donā€™t lug the drums along on my account, I will play them if you take them, obviously, but if a rhythm is ever needed I can play a mean table top.

Hmmm ā€¦ bwtcamp orchestra ā€¦ I expect to hear a hit recording afterwards ā€¦ for all of us who are not able to afford the tickets for the concert(s).

Already sounds like itā€™s going to be a fabulous Bootcamp!

Hereā€™s an afterthought. Geraint has volunteered to be Des for the whole week. Ferrying the whole gang around from one place to another day and night. He has also arranged the minibus and is picking several people up along the way. How about he has bedroom #5 in Gadlas for his troublesā€¦?

ā€œBedrom 5 - a king size bed and en suite and views to die for - sleeps 1ā€

This bedroom is next to the sitting room upstairs, you know which one it is donā€™t you @gruntius?

After all we need our Des to be well rested and fresh during the day!

A question regarding activities.

Do you fancy doing story bags again? Bootcampers are separated in to groups and each group is given a bag filled with random/strange/interesting, unrelated items. The group then has to spend some spare time during the week creating and practicing a short and humorous drama using all the items in the bag. We then add some alcohol and the ā€˜dramasā€™ are performed one evening for the rest of the group.

Do you want me to put some bags together?

Bringing and playing instruments doesnā€™t always result in making music. :astonished:
