No subtitles option on S4c app for android

I’ve just bought a Samsung Galaxy tablet having previously used an ipod to catch up on S4c (where there was a small icon on the bottom rhs of the screen giving an option to display subtitles in Welsh or English -really useful). This option is NOTshowing on the S4c app for this tablet! Just the screen and the play/pause appears.

It comes up with English subtitles option if I go through bbc iplayer but I really want to use the S4c app as it’s much more versatile

Is there anyway of getting the subtitles up on the app? I found a similar thread posted in April 14 but I am still in the dark!

Likely that the Android app is missing a feature that is available in the IoS version, but I don’t know. I’ve checked Noson Lawen (if any programme should have subtitles it’s this one) and there are none.

I would assume that the app was released without a full feature set and subtitles are on the roadmap for a future version.

Give them a review and see if they respond and tell you they are planning/working on them in an update?
