For those of you keen to participate in another SSiW Online Eisteddfod, this will no doubt be sad news, but it’s not the end!
We’ve had some discussion (@nia.llywelyn, @gisella-albertini and me 
) , and as there are a lot of other things going on, including trying to get the Bŵtcamps up and running again, we’ve decided not to hold the SSiW Online Eisteddfod this year. To be honest, it’s a lot of work, and although it reaps wonderful rewards with the incredible standard of the entries, it is currently only a small percentage of SSiW learners who take part.
So we’re taking a break this year, but we’ll be having on-going discussion about what to do moving forward - perhaps just running the Eisteddfod every second year, or collaborating with another organisation interested in supporting Welsh learners and new Welsh speakers.
If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to add them here, and we’ll keep them for future discussion.
A big DIOLCH YN FAWR IAWN to all of you who have participated over the years (we’ve only missed 1 year since 2010!) and to those of you who took the time to look through the entries and vote. You all made it a joyous experience for us, and we’ll make sure the opportunity will return.
