I bought my first Spanish book just over 2 months ago. But even though it was advertised as beginners, I could barely get through the first page. I was seriously disappointed and disheartened. I read various comments amazon about its level and amount of repetitiveness. I’m very happy with repetitiveness. But after only two classes which I felt was aimed too high. I picked up the book last night and read right through the first few pages. Looking forward now to continued reading in Spanish.

I’ll not try and write in Spanish but this is super encouraging. I’ve just put A Spanish book on my Christmas list. Which one is this, as I’ll add it too!
What is encouraging for myself is that, despite my very short journey so far into Spanish, I can read that whole first page bar one word.
This SSi stuff seems to be quite good

Yeah its called " Hola Lola.
It is very repetitive and not for beginners as suggested on the cover. I got through the first chapter ok. But it can be quite challenging. But i cannot really find another book for beginners so im persevering.
