Gair bach i hysbysu’r sawl â diddordeb fod cytundeb am y llyfr nesa newydd ei lofnodi gen i - ac, fel mae’n digwydd, dydd y nawddsant cenedlaethol yn 2026 ydy’r dyddiad cyflwyno.
Just a quick note to anyone interested on here that I’ve just signed the contract for the next book, with a delivery date of precisely Dydd Gŵyl Dewi 2026 - spookily fitting, or what? I have already written most of the Introduction, and I am certainly hopeful that when it appears it will delight and annoy exactly the right types of people in equal measure.
I can reveal no further details at this early stage - it HAS been known for rival publishers to attempt to get quick, cheap and nastily inferior spoiler titles out if we show our hand too early! I know - anhygoel, yntefê? but there we are. Publishing is and ever was a cut-throat world. But pass the word around anyway, if you would.
All on schedule - main body of the text is now written and I am in the process of checking and verifying this. Assorted bits and pieces front and back still to be done, but the Introduction is underway already, and there will be an English-Welsh index that shouldn’t take me too long with the help of Excel. There will be a simplified ‘verb system and tense array’ table - again, shouldn’t take too long. So I’m on course for the Dydd Dewi Sant delivery deadline - would all my friends on here kindly now touch something made of wood after that last rash remark of mine?
To emulate the way a certain world leader ends his messages:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION IN THIS MATTER!!!
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant Hapusi chi gyd, and thank you all for touching wood as requested in my recent update…it worked, as I have today finished the entire manuscript for the new book, and it is ready for delivery to the publishers tomorrow. As usual I expect them to be seriously impressed by my reliability and time-keeping. Barring hitches, I am hoping for a late summer publication date - I do hope those of you who are interested will like it, and that in the meantime you will be able to spread the word.
Over the last 12 months of my SSIW journey I’ve bought 4 of your books and they’ve been incredibly helpful. Are you able to say (in broad terms, ok) what the theme is of your new book?
